The books are closed, the movies have finally run out, and the last (terrible) movie game has been broken into angry pieces by distraught fans. But don’t quite burn out on Harry Potter yet, there’s still one important piece of the series left – LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7. Just in case you weren’t super excited for the final video game installment of the HP franchise, or for the next hilarious outing for LEGO, here’s a brand new trailer that should get you all sorts of pumped up for animated children’s toys.
Anyone that’s played a LEGO game in the last few years knows that, while they seem silly and like a high polish Spongebob adventure on the outside, inside are masterfully crafted games full of secrets, collectables, and jillions of iconic characters. While the gameplay has always been a bit on the repetitive side, with LEGO favoring franchises like Star Wars and Harry Potter that use similar Force/magic mechanics, the creative puzzles and top notch level of interactivity never cease being fun. Throw in the crazy antics of the LEGO men in silent film cinematics, and it’s clear why these games keep getting churned out – they’re still fun. LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7 releases on November 1st.
