Citing a busy schedule with their focus on big releases like D3 and WoW:MoP, Blizzard has announced that the next BlizzCon will be held in 2013.

“We’re also heavily focused on getting Diablo III, Mists of Pandaria, and Heart of the Swarm into players’ hands as soon as possible. In light of our jam-packed schedule, we’ve decided to hold the next BlizzCon in 2013.”

Though the potential of amazing D3 cosplay will be sorely absent from my life this year, I’m glad that Blizzard is focusing on their releases. And hey, another year to find a musical act that won’t offend a good portion of your audience couldn’t hurt.
